Recurring Task/Reminder only notifying on the first instance

Recurring Task/Reminder only notifying on the first instance

I've set up a handful of recurring tasks and reminders and I only get notified on the first instance. I've asked CRM support and of course are no help at all, and say they are "reviewing the feature as potential add on in a future update" (even though it is already available, it just doesn't work)

Has anyone been able to come up with a workaround to accomplish this? This is something we really really need.
