Regarding to Privacy Shield Framework

Regarding to Privacy Shield Framework

Hi Zoho Team,

in Zoho's Privacy Shield Frameworkwe we can find that "Zoho Corporation is committed to subjecting all personal information received from European Union (EU) member countries and Switzerland, in reliance on the Privacy Shield Framework, to the Framework’s applicable Principles."

Question 1: What does it mean in practice?

Moreover, Zoho Corporation is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, Zoho Corporation may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests from government or public authorities, including without limitation, to meet national security or other law enforcement requirements.

Question 2: Does it mean that Zoho may disclose personal information and service data of EU customers to the US public authorities as  ZOHO (including its office in Amsterdam where EU customers' data center is located),  is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S?I so, under what cinditions?

Question 3: Does it also mean that Zoho (including its office in India)  may disclose personal information and service data of EU customers to India public authorities where, as far as I know, there is no a such strict privacy law.

Greetings,

Luke
