I know that I am able to create related contacts but I would like the ability to define the contact role on the add contact page.
Here's the use case:
All of our customers are converted from leads to contacts and about half of our customers have spouses. There is no declarative way (that I'm aware of) to take the data that we capture on the lead for Spouse Name and Spouse Email and map those values to a new and related contact to the primary contact.
When an agent converts a lead to a contact, they are also selecting the option to create a deal and there is no option on the deal page to add a contact. Instead, users have to add a contact role only once they navigate to deal itself. Additionally, when clicking add contact role, it surfaces literally every contact in the database.
These steps aren't efficient and I find them to be error prone.
I figure I can create a custom function button that might be able to combine and automate all of these steps in one swoop, but before going down that rabbit hole, I'd like to know how other might tackle these issues using the declarative functionality of Zoho CRM.
