Task Module in Zoho Projects gives a comprehensive view of all the action items, known as Tasks, across all projects. However, different industries may use alternative terminology for similar processes, which might not always be recognised when labelled as Tasks.
For instance, in construction, an action is referred to as a "Job," whereas in software development, it is referred to as a "Work Item". Using Zoho Projects, admin users can rename the Task Module as "Job" for a construction project and "Work Item" for a software project. Rename the module from the Modules tab of the Customization section in Zoho Projects' Settings. The new module name will reflect across the organization and in Exports.
Task Module Renaming helps admin users maintain industry-specific norms and practices. Additionally, admin users can also enable or disable the Tasks module to view or hide it in the Overview section of the Navigation Pane.
Can we customize it as per different projects ? i.e. I have 5 projects with different aspects for which I need to rename task module with differ names.
This Task rename option is a global setting that applies to all projects in the portal. We are yet to consider providing it as a project specific setting. Thanks for letting us know your requirement.
