One of my long-standing frustrations with the current user interface (UI) is that critical functions "Disappear" when the user has to scroll down a screen when in the list view of a module. The means that the user has to do a LOT of unnecessary scrolling. In addition, some of the list filtering functions are buried at the bottom of the lists, which REQUIRES users to do more scrolling.
From a user standpoint I would like to see ZCRM make a couple of simple of UI changes. I do not want to add anything. I simply want elements placed in different locations to make them easier to access and eliminate unnecessary scrolling.
Here is a marked up screen grab that shows what I would like to see:
I would like to have the area in the Red Rectangle anchored to the top of the screen so that it is always visible. This would function similar to the way Frames worked back in the early days of website design.
I would also like to see ZCRM relocate the quick select alphabet letters and the tool for selecting the number of records/record count to the top of the list view so users can quickly filter lists or change the number of records displayed. They would be located in the Blue rectangle on my screen grab above.
These changes would be tremendous usability improvements (IMHO) because they would allow users to navigate quickly through list views or switch modules quickly to respond to incoming phone calls or call up necessary information when communicating with a customer (Example - looking up a Solution while on the phone with a customer)
