Rich Text Editor - Limited functionality

I had been looking forward to The Rich Text Editor functionality and it will make my Zoho Creator experience that much more satisfying. But the functionality seems limited, at least, for now.

As Niskypto has mentioned here, 'on user input' commands do not work for the RTE fields. But the problem seems to be wider than that. I couldn't update an RTE field through an "on-load" command; and the RTE field cannot be updated on input of other fields either. So I get the impression the current version of RTE field is just that - a rich-text field, but which cannot be manipulated intelligently through script commands. Surely, this facility would be provided soon? Please let me know.
