Ring Central Integration - Beginning of a Solution?

I know there is another post trying to convince Zoho to integrate with RingCentral. (Please, Zoho...please...) In the mean time, can someone use the following information to create a temporary fix? I'm a complete Zoho noob and don't know how.

In the RingCentral softphone, you can access external applications and urls. Specifically, under Options-Calls-"Launch another application or URL" you can tell RingCentral to call Zoho. Ringcentral has info on it here: http://www.ringcentral.com/support/pc-incoming-call-integration.html . Solve360 CRM tries to use it here: http://norada.com/answers/training-ring-central

Is anyone out there knowledgeable enough to build on this? Is this something zapier, onesaas or such ilk can help us with?
