Roles Hierarchy
Hey,
I just want to understand something that's bugging me for roles hierarchy.
According to this page (https://help.zoho.com/portal/kb/articles/role-management-introduction) different roles of the same hierarchy.... are the same role?
"users of the same role cannot access each others data. For example, the VP Engineering cannot access the VP Marketing data and vice versa though they are of the same hierarchy."
But to me, since the name is different... the role is different. They just have the same hierarchy.
Does this means that if I enable "Share Data with Peers" it means different roles from the same hierarchy with have access to the data or juste user with the same exact role?
Does "Share Data with Peers" means that users that are VP Engineering and VP Marketing will be sharing data OR that 2 users with the VP Finance role with see each other data?
Even the graph attached to the article makes it looks like VP Engineering and VP Marketing are NOT the same role.
To me, each of these boxes are different roles. This means that VP FINANCE does not have access to DIRECTOR CSS by default. But the phrasing makes it look like same hierarchy means same role.
Even the video explanation, shows that CEO has access to everything but Susan and Olivia (who technically have the same role...) don't have access to the same reps (two line to Susan and only one line to Olivia).
So i'm receiving conflicting information here.
