To give effective support to the end-users, agents often have to attach information or documents such as an invoice or purchase order. The Zoho Desk app allows the users to include such important details in the form of photos, files, voice notes, and scribbled notes within the tickets to facilitate easier exchange of information.
We are happy to announce that the Desk app allows users to scan and upload images or text as documents and attach them to tickets, comments, events, or tasks. Users can either manually scan the document or use auto-capture, where the software will crop and scan the image. The user can also upload an image from the gallery and convert it into a document.
The document scanner utilizes Google's scanner and leverages Google Play's camera permission. The scanner will only accept .jpg files. If the uploaded image is in .png or .jpeg, the scanner will automatically convert it into .jpg.
