Recently I tried to run our lectures through Showtime, and at first it looked nice and easy. In particular it was easy to set up the sessions. But very late in the process some unprecedented issues came up:
1) Why is a shared screen displayed in such an unsufficient resolution or displayed as a Thumbnail only? This is unexpected UX and annoying if not toxic for customers.
2) Why is interaction with the users so locked down in Showtime? There is no way to have discussion at the end of a session. Participants can't speak up, cant share their video - e.g. in case they have problem with the unsufficient resolution of the shared screen.
3) Why is there a complete disconnect between Showtime and the CRM - typically we have our Contacts (customers and prospects) attending sessions. And why is there another disconnected piece of software calle Zoho meetings, which has other shortcommunigs?
It's very disappointing for users and keeps the host in the dark about this desaster. Users just disappear and never come back. Too many hidden issues.
This is considered as a show stopper for Showtime. We don't use it anymore, rethinking Zoho One subscriptions in general..
