Select Month in CRM calendar from drop menu for speed

Hi.
The CRM calendar needs the option to select a month by clicking on a link in a menu (to one side or in a drop menu).  Otherwise the only other option is to make the transition on clicking from one month to the next a heck of a lot faster.  If i have a customer on the phone and they want to know availability for 3 or 4 months down the track I can get to it relatively quick but it would be handy to be able to navigate to a month faster than that.  At the moment its taking approximately 1 second per transition (in "30 day" view) which seems a little sluggish.  It may not sound like much but try 12 seconds of silence on the phone with a customer who is in a hurry.

I'm not sure what other options you can think of that may work best but definitely a quick short cut is needed here.
Perhaps even a "year" view showing 3 years of months (past - present - future).
