Hello everyone,
This comes up more than people expect: a Lead gets converted into a Contact, and sometimes a Deal along with it, because at the time it looked ready. Then the situation changes the opportunity turns out to be much further off than expected, priorities shift, or it becomes clear the record was never as qualified as it seemed. At that point, the right move is obvious: send it back to Leads, where it can be nurtured properly instead of sitting as a stale Contact or a Deal that never closes.
Zoho CRM doesn't give you a way to do that. Conversion only runs one direction. The Contact stays a Contact. The Deal sits there, open or marked lost, still showing up in pipeline reports. And the original Lead its source, its notes, everything that gave context to why it existed is gone unless it's manually rebuilt from memory.
The Restore Lead from Deal/Account/Contact extension by Insyrge solves this directly. It adds a "Restore Lead" action to the Deal, Account, or Contact page, so reversing a conversion takes one click instead of a manual rebuild.
