Sending email from CRM can't look up CRM USERS to add to the email

When I send an email direct from the CRM to a lead or contact, sometimes I want to copy in someone else from my company. Everyone from my company is a CRM user.

However, in the email To, cc and bcc fields, the CRM doesn't recognise USER names when I type them in the To, cc or bcc fields. (Yes, I can type out their email addresses, but it would be better if I could just select them to avoid typos etc.)

I understand that the CRM email function is limited, however, is there a way to look up USERS' email addresses to add to an email sent from the CRM?
