Sending email through gmail

I am trying to set up "Send mail as" on my gmail account so that I can send mail from gmail as if I'm sending it from Zoho. I got the SMTP information from zoho and put in into gmail along with my user name and password and it will not recognize the user name and password. I tried it multiple times and it will not work. An ideas?
