I created an email alias christophe (at) mzconsultants.eu for my account christophe.mendez (at) mendez-contadores.com in Zoho Mail to use another domain.

I use an external Mail client (Apple's). I understand that the emails received for the alias  christophe (at) mzconsultants.eu will land in the  christophe.mendez (at) mendez-contadores.com inbox. I could use a filter in order to move it to a separate folder.

Now, I would like to send an email using  christophe (at) mzconsultants.eu using SMTP from my Mail client. Is that possible? After trying, I would say no. I was able to send an email from the webmail using this alias but I will not be always loggedd.
