Sent mail "Email is in queue, waiting to be processed."

i tried forwarding myself an email, I went to my sent folder and a message says " Email is in queue, waiting to be processed."

Why is this?

 And then I just sent an email to my zoho address from a gmail address and it's not coming in... why is this?
