Sent mail showing up as read in destination folder

I'm a recent convert to Zoho.
Some e-mails I've sent recently have shown as read in my correspondent's inboxes.
So far I know this has happened when sending to people using addresses at chiark.greenend.org.uk. It may have happened with others - I'll let you know if it has.
Apparently the problem is an RO header which has been attached to the e-mail at the Zoho end, and which some IMAP clients use as an internal marker of already having been read.
The problem appears to be with the Zoho client rather than just the e-mail address - I've tried sending from my gmail address using the Zoho client and the same thing happens.
Could you possibly fix this, at least by giving an option of removing the RO header? It's very frustrating to be so worried that some people I'm e-mailing may just not notice my mail!
