SEO on my site sucks

Hi! I've had my bio site up for about 2 years. When you type in my info on google, my page doesn't show up till midway down the second page of google. Every other page that shows up has a minor mention of my name and are mostly other local, small pages like mine. Something is seriously wrong with the SEO. Any help?
