We need to add products with serial numbers to our client accounts but the products module does not support serialised items.

I understand we can create an autonumber field but this will mean we have to re-create the same products over and over again, which is not a workable solution when you are talking about 1000's of products

We need the ability to use the same product type and just add the serial number to create a unique record.

Is there no way that CRM can support this! Been told the usual response so far of "this is something we are working on" but looking over the forums this has been something your working on for 4 years!

Any further update or ideally a release date would be greatly appreciated
