Serious Rich Text Editor Lag and Extremely Slow Customer Support

I have been experiencing a serious typing lag when replying to emails in the Zoho Mail web interface on my computer. When typing, characters can take half a second or more to appear, Backspace is delayed, and even moving the cursor becomes noticeably laggy. This makes replying to emails extremely frustrating and inefficient.

I contacted Zoho support about this issue and had two phone calls with their support team. Both times, I was told that they would investigate the issue and get back to me within a certain timeframe. Both times, their response came more than a week later than promised.

What was even more frustrating was that when they finally responded, the information was essentially the same as what had already been discussed during the phone call. There was no meaningful progress in the investigation.

Zoho support suggested that the problem might be caused by my computer running too many programs. However, closing other programs did not improve the issue. Gmail works perfectly normally on the same computer, Zoho Mail works normally on my phone and iPad, and the exact same problem occurs in both Chrome and Edge.

After waiting about a month for support without a resolution, I eventually investigated the problem myself with the help of ChatGPT. We discovered something Zoho support had failed to identify immediately: as soon as I switched Zoho replies from Rich Text to Plain Text, the lag disappeared completely and typing became instantly smooth again.

This strongly indicates that the problem is related to Zoho Mail's Rich Text reply editor rather than simply my computer's performance.

I understand that software bugs happen, and I am still waiting for Zoho to properly address the Rich Text editor issue. What is much more disappointing is the way the support process has been handled. Two phone calls, two missed follow-up timelines by more than a week, and after nearly a month there has been almost no progress. I was ultimately able to narrow down the cause myself faster than Zoho's own technical support.

Zoho Mail is an important part of my daily work, so I hope Zoho takes both the Rich Text editor performance issue and the effectiveness of its customer support process more seriously. Customers should not have to wait weeks for repeated answers that do not move an investigation forward.

The worst: the issue hasn't resolved yet.
