Setting a variable to the current date

Does anyone know how to get the current date that a flow has started on?  IM trying to create a flow that triggers quarterly and the only options are daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.  I'd like more control over setting schedules for flows.  Right now it seems like the only way to achieve a quarterly flow is to make a monthly one and check if the month is one of the quarter months.
