Setting up a new account; verifying the domain

I may have used my "new" address, not an existing one, to set up my Zoho mail account.  I don't think I set up an admin account.  Unless, I have set it up with my name and not "admin" account.  Therefore, I cannot access any messages.  When I went to verify my domain, I tried to submit my "zb" access code, I get a message CNAME verification failed, '

There are no CNAME Records found for your domain.'

Should I delete my account and try to set it up again?  Would I lose my domain if I did?
