Setting up a pop up for Notifications

Setting up a pop up for Notifications

I am trying to make Workplace and the '@mentions feature as well as using Connect, but the little bell notification is not aggressive enough.  Is there a way to have a pop up or some other notification that is hard to ignore come up?
