Setting up Apple Mail while using gmail as a login

Not sure I should have done this, but this is how I set up the free Zoho account.

I log in with my gmail account. Works fine online but tried to set up my Zoho account in Apple Mail. Following the instructions and using my Zoho account xxxx@zoho.com, in the Apple setup does not work. Error message indicates cannot find server. This makes sense as I am logging in with my xxxx@gmail.com

So, how do I set up Apple mail to access my Zoho mail?
