Settings for phpBB use

Hi there!
I'm trying to use my Zoho account with a phpBB forums, but I'm struggling with getting the settings right.

The settings that I would like assistance with are the following:

Use SMTP server for email:
Select “Yes” if you want or have to send email via a named server instead of the local mail function.
(Y/N - currently Yes)

SMTP server address:
Do not provide a protocol (ssl:// or tsl://) unless your mail host tells you to do so
(currently smtppro.zoho.eu)

SMTP server port:
Only change this if you know your SMTP server is on a different port.
(currently 587)

Authentication method for SMTP:
Only used if a username/password is set, ask your provider if you are unsure which method to use.
(PLAIN, LOGIN or CRAM-MD5)

SMTP username:
Only enter a username if your SMTP server requires it.
(currently admin@domain.com)

SMTP password:
Only enter a password if your SMTP server requires it.
Warning: This password will be stored as plain text in the database, visible to everybody who can access your database or who can view this configuration page.
(currently password for account)

Verify SSL certificate:
Require verification of SSL certificate used by SMTP server.
Warning: Connecting peers with unverified SSL certificates may cause security implications.
(Y/N - currently Yes)

Verify SMTP peer name:
Require verification of peer name for SMTP servers using SSL / TLS connections.
Warning: Connecting to unverified peers may cause security implications.
(Y/N - currently Yes)

Allow self-signed SSL certificates:
Allow connections to SMTP server with self-signed SSL certificate.
Warning: Allowing self-signed SSL certificates may cause security implications.
(Y/N - currently No)

Any suggestions?
I'm currently using the admin@domain.com email address, rather than the personal one that I use to login to my Zoho account. Is that correct?
I'm also using the password that I use in conjunction with my personal email to login to the Zoho account. Is that correct?

I've tried a couple of different combinations of settings, with little luck. Most cause a timeout when trying to send a test email. One combination gave a success notification, but no email was actually sent or received.

Thanks in advance,
Paul
