Hi all,

I’d like to submit a feature request to improve record navigation and data entry speed in Zoho CRM.

Add a side-panel / slide-in “quick preview” for records so that when we click a record (instead of fully opening the detail page) we can:

- See key information in a side panel, without leaving the current list/pipeline view or opening a new tab.

- Edit fields directly in this side panel (not just view them).

- Close the panel and stay in exactly the same place in the list or pipeline.

1. Deals

- From List View and Stage (Pipeline) View, clicking a deal should open a side preview panel.

- The panel should show:

      - Key deal fields (Deal Name, Stage, Amount, Closing Date, Owner, etc.).

      - Related key info like next activity, notes, and recent timeline actions, if possible.

- Ability to:

      - Edit deal fields (e.g., Stage, Amount, Closing Date, custom fields).

      - Log or edit activities (tasks/calls/events) without leaving the view.

2. Tasks / Activities

- From the Tasks list (and other activity lists), clicking a record should open a side panel instead of the full detail page or a separate tab.

- The panel should show key task fields (Subject, Due Date/Time, Status, Owner, Related To, etc.).

- Ability to:

      - Edit task fields inline from the side panel.

      - Mark as completed, reassign, or reschedule without leaving the list.

3. (If possible) Leads and other key modules

- Same pattern: click → side preview with editable fields, close → return to same scroll position in the list.

- Our users frequently work from Lead/Deal pipelines, and Task lists, processing a large number of records in one session.

- Today, every click to open a record:

      - Navigates away from the list/pipeline or opens a new tab.

      - Interrupts the workflow and makes it harder to keep track of where we were.

- A side-panel quick preview with edit support would:

      - Greatly reduce clicks and page loads.

      - Speed up qualification, follow-ups, and updates.

      - Make it much easier to work through long lists of deals and tasks without losing context.
