Hello
I thought I'd try your email service yesterday, while it hasn't been very bad it has shown weaknesses almost from the beginning.
Background
- Windows 7
- Outlook 2010 (imap)
- Fibre cable broadband
- Location - town near London
I was using a mailbox with an Eukhost shared hosting package and it was/has been fine (no complaints).
Yesterday I thought I'd try zoho so I signed up and configuration went well. But the email service is noticeably slower (than eukhost), for example occasionally when switching from Inbox to the sent folder the throbber (spinning wheel) goes round for at least 10 seconds. But the main issues are connectivity errors.
Errors
- Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for me@mydomain.co.uk.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for me@mydomain.co.uk. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
- Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for me@mydomain.co.uk.' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for me@mydomain.co.uk. Error: The server did not respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
- Failed to update headers
- The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server.
- Protocol: IMAP
- Server: imappro.zoho.com
- Port: 993
Extra thoughts
The only significant difference (apart from eukhost and zoho) is that I'm using SSL with Zoho.
The errors are not constant but they do occur intermittently, mainly the 0x800CCC0F.
