I'm looking to build what I think will be a simple data base, but then again, I'm not a coder, and have not really done anything like this before.

I'm an architect. I'm looking to build a very straight forward spec writing tool for small (but often complicated) building projects. I'm pretty sure this zoho will allow me to create multiple records with multiple fields, say a clause number, a title and some body text. Simple. 

But I also need to kind of "flag" a record in some way. I mean with an identifiable flag of similar. Some records might have multiple flags, some might have very many flags, and some might have only one. I'll probably need some way of managing the flags as well later

Then I need a way of out putting selected records in a text document with out duplication - basically, I need it to output the all the records which have the flags which I have selected? I hope this makes sense

And thats it (for now)

Say for example there is a project with a slate roof. I'd like to select all the records which have the slate roof "flag" for output. These would be combined with others, lets say all the records for a timber clad stud wall and a concrete floor, but records which are flagged for both or all three would only be included once.

In short, before I invest many many unpaid hours in this, can Zoho do it? Is there a proper name for "flags"?
