Simplified input of the DATE -TIME field

I am using the the Date-Time fileld in my application because it facilitate date and time calculation. But on the other hand the users are complaining about the time being not user freindely or entering wrong timing is recurent.

How can I simplified the look and feel of the time entry section ?

Something like the date in a separated field and the hours in a dropdown field would be workable for me. But always keeping the same single date-time field?
