SMTP zoho versus domain host

If a mail is sent out with the smtp of the domain provider via zoho, and the ip of the provider is on a blacklist due to other problems on a shared host. is the mail then sent out? will he be reveived by the adresse?
Is this avoided by using the smtp of zoho?
