I have a report that gives me a list of sales in the past year. In "Groupings" I have it grouped by "Account Name". In "Columns to Total" I have the sale amount checked under "Sum".
So now I have a report that looks like this (simplified example):
ACME LTD
6/1/20 - $50
12/15/20 - $100
1/15/21 - $50
Total: $200
BREAD CORP
1/20/21 - $5000
1/21/21 - $50
Total: $5050
What I would like to do is sort it in descending order by those totals, keeping the grouping by account name. So in the example above, the Bread Corp entries would come first (totaling $5050) followed by the Acme Ltd entries ($200).
I can't figure out how to do this kind of sorting. The only options appear to be via grouping. But there's no way to group by a totaled column; all you can do is group by the individual columns -- i.e. it would show me all orders of $50, then all orders of $100, etc., which would be pointless -- not total combined sales across multiple orders.
I could do this easily in Excel by exporting the sales data and summing the order totals, but the whole point of Zoho is that these reports should be part of the whole system. So what am I missing? How do I sort in this way? This can't be an uncommon business need -- to want to know who your top customers are based on sales.
As an aside, I reviewed all the help pages on Reports, and they're woefully lacking in detail and seem to be out of date. In particular this one:
https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/kb/crm/analytics-and-dashboards/reports/articles/editing-criteria-patternsI'm not sure if it just hasn't been updated in awhile or what, but there's no "Customize" link on reports, there's no "Criteria" tab, and there's no area called "Patterns." There's an Edit link, a Filters tab, and a Standard Filters/Advanced Filters area. Maybe this was meant for Zoho Creator or Zoho Analytics interfaces, because I know they differ -- but this was posted under Zoho CRM. It would be helpful if your help documents reflected what the interface currently looks like.
