Sorting on a Column in a view of the Contacts data is Buggy - no longer works

We defined a view that we have been using for a long time.  Several months ago, the capability to sort by the "Stage" column stopped working.  The drop-down choice of ASC or DESC display just fine, but the data is not alphabetical.

By contrast, sort on other columns works just fine -- Next Step Date, for example. Soho:  Please advise when we can expect a fix.  Much appreciation.
