Starting a theme from the beginning after deleting a lot of components

Starting a theme from the beginning after deleting a lot of components

I started with a theme and edited few things there. Now i have to start a new theme, but all changes i made keep showing up in the new theme. I want it to be the way it was before. How do i do that?
