Is there a way to find our how many times a lead was contacted within a certain time frame?

Typically the team will get a lead, it will show in "CREATED TIME", then if they change one of the fields, the "MODIFIED TIME" changes. Then, if they do something else (Call for instance) and only leave notes...nothing shows up so on MODIFIED TIME.

Is there a way to find out how many times a lead was contacted other than Created, Modified and Last Activity Times?
