Stream Integration

Is there anyway to get notifications of stream activity to my phone? Just a push notification. Or can I set it up to send emails for all stream activity? I have my calendar sending me emails when events are added to a group calendar, but can not sort out how to do it for a group stream? Otherwise I will never know of activity, so it has not been a very useful tool for our team.
