I was working on mapping out the next phase of ZCRM deployment in our company and I discovered a rather surprising quirk about how ZCRM handles associating/relating data between accounts and contacts.

If I add a product to a Contact I also have to manually add that product to the Account Record as well. I believe the same quirk exists with cases, solutions and tasks.

In many B2B scenarios you will work with a single contact who is one of many at an account. When one person buys a product it means that their company (account) bought it as well. The same goes for a service case.

When adding this information to a contact record the information should also be added to the account. And if this is a sub-account to a parent account the data should flow up to the parent account record as well.

That way if a contact leaves the account there is still data about the interactions and history that is associated with the ACCOUNT.
