Summary of Conference Call with ZCRM team

I just completed a conference call with members of the ZCRM development team to walk them through the way our company uses ZCRM.

This was a great experience. 

We used Zoho Meeting to share my screen and I was able to demonstrate the way we have customized ZCRM to implement our procedures. This demonstration allowed the ZCRM team to see how this one company uses their product in real life and I believe it helped them understand what drives some of the requests they see here in the forums. I believe they now have a better understanding of some usability issues and they appear to be eager to work on making the product better.

But this meeting was not just about helping the ZCRM team understand our usage and how others may be using their product. It was beneficial to me as well. I learned that I was missing out on some functionality that can make our users' lives easier. There were several features that I did not know existed. I had created workarounds that were unnecessary because I had not configured some elements of Zoho to exploit the full power of the tools that are included.

Our web conference lasted about 90 minutes. I have to say it was time well spent.

My advice to users is to pick up the phone and call if you have questions. I thought I was very knowledgeable about the capabilities and limitations of ZCRM. I still managed to learn a lot today. And I think the ZCRM team did too.

ZCRM is still the best cloud based CRM for our business needs - even if I get cranky about the pace of development from time to time.
