Support Question

Hi Can you please direct this to the support department:

I am evaluating your application and it seems quite nice so far. I have a question about account numbers. The field that is there by default does not auto increment.

I played with creating a custom field instead but I dont know what the ramifications of this would be.

Then I created a sales order and the default customer number was not an available choice .

Whats the deal with this? Is it considered non important to have a unique customer number? I checked and it appears multiple accounts can be created with the sames names so it would seem to me that this could create confusion.

Please advise.
