Synchronising the Outlook contact categories into Zoho

I am starting to use Zoho a lot now, but have just hit what could be a total deal breaker for my company.
Zoho uses Outlook's Category field to determine which contacts to sync. That's OK, I've set all business contacts to have the category "Zoho" as recomended. However, I also use this field extensively for other purposes. e.g. I use it to hold the market segment, the type of contact, the source of the original contact, etc.
Currently, Zoho does not sync this field and its values, so this information cannot be used to filter views etc. Not being able to do this removes a major value of using Zoho for us and we'll probably look elsewhere instead.
I've seen several requests for the this field to be sync'd and several responses saying "it's on the road map". So, when will the ability to sync Outlook contact categories be available in Zoho?
