Syncing Outlook with CRM - Handling conflicts

Is it really true that you have to decide which side "wins"? Zoho doesn't figure that out on it's own, recording timestamps, etc to know which one was updated last, and which was was not updated since the last sync? If this is true, this is a deal-breaker. Can someone verify this please? Thanks.

PS - Yes, I know you can set it to ask you about each conflict. That's also pretty stupid... with several people doing updates, ONE person sits there and goes through the sync process guessing what the other people had in mind when they made changes, either on the outlook or CRM side? Not gonna happen.
