Hi all,
I have an interesting situation.
I just signed off on us using Zoho as our solution provider moving forward. That creates a lot of work for me to do over the coming months. We have a CRM Plus account.
One of my high priority items is making the CRM idiot (and lazy) proof. As we all know (and I used to be one of them until recently), salespeople have very creative reasons that they don't want to use a CRM.
One tidbit of what I'm trying to accomplish.. Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
Example:
I'm setting up automation that will add phone calls that have to be made to a lead at certain intervals. Currently, in order to mark it as completed, a rep has to go into the CRM and mark it so. I'm trying to make this one step easier.
I'd like to send them an email at a given interval after an event (a call in this case) is scheduled to be made essentially asking them if they've made the call yet. In the email there would be a link for Yes and a link for No. If they click Yes it would mark that call as completed in the CRM and that would be the end of it (or it would fire something ese - haven't got that far yet). I haven't worked out the No side yet. :)
I know this likely sounds ridiculous to some people but I can assure you that after 30+years in direct sales (both as a sales guy and as a sales manager) that sometimes getting salespeople to do the simplest of things (especially when they're 100% commission as ours are) is painful.
Any ideas where I should be looking to get rolling on this?
Would this be an API thing? Custom function? New Module? I don't know what I don't know so a push in the right direction would be awesome. I'm not expecting someone to write the code (but don't let me stop you). :)
Thanks to all for any help that you can give.
Cheers,
Ron
