Task Due Date Email Notifications not working on Automated-generated tasks

I have four tasks that generate for each new lead created, ownership assigned to the creator.

Lead owners are notified immediately of these tasks by email - this works.

Lead owners should be notified on day that tasks are due - this does not work.
