I am looking to find out which would work best out of these 2 (or if anyone has another suggestion).

We sell mortgages. The mortgage has a tie in period for say 2 years - but not exactly 2 years, it could be 1 year 11 months or 2 years and 2 months for example.

About 3 months before their deal finishes I want something to pop up in our tasks/events/jobs list for us to contact the customer. So that we can explain their deal is coming to an end and do they want us to look into it again for them. 

I dont want the job to stay in our jobs list every day for the next 2 years which seems to be happening with tasks?
