I am finding Zoho and the way it processes tasks and call-backs very slow to use. In my previous CRMs I was presented with an alarm panel that listed tasks or call-backs requiring attention, with one simple click I was transferred to a screen showing the record, could see all previous activities, could dial from that screen and update the record and diarise any further activity all within 53 seconds, apart from time spent calling or processing task. There is also an integrated timer that will automatically record time spent on the activity when recording the activity notes.

In Zoho CRM, I take my diary call-backs from the open tasks list on the home page. Clicking on the task provides me with all the information I require to make the call or take an action but does not appear to provide a joined-up process to record notes from my call in a form that will show up in the activity reports and diarise any further activity.

My options are to leave the task page and move to the account or contact page, select Log a Call and record the notes on my activity. I then have to return to the account/contact page and the action/task recorded to re-diarise or mark it as complete, all without the benefit of having the time spent on the task recorded.


The timings I have made to process a simple task/call update, without call/action time, in my old CRM = 50 seconds, the timing for the same operation in Zoho CRM = 1 min 21 seconds. This means it is taking me more than 50 minutes longer, per 100 calls made, to record the activity in Zoho CRM.

Surely it wouldn't take too much to allow record updates from the tasks that will be visible to the contact reports
