Text Expander / Macros

I am using Zoho Writer on both Vista and Obuntu Linux (9.04) machines. I find that AutoHotKey,
a freeware product, works for my Vista machine. But there is nothing available (at least nothing I
can make work) for Linux. There have been a few requests for such a feature over the past several
years. Is there any kind of internal macro / text expansion support in sight for Writer?
