This may be a really simple newbie question.

so apologies in advance.
I get the whole B2Customer CRM system for getting a lead => contact => opportunity => sell => invoice etc. but how do I do the following
1. I'm setting up a distribution channel so I need to go
lead => contact => Sign up as a distributor/agent etc
I don't actually sell them anything...however i need to track their leads/contacts/opportunities/orders so at the end of the year, I know what business they have generated.
So how do I set ui up so each contact and opportunity will have a customer contact and maybe a distributor contact, heck they will also have an channel manager?
2. I also have key influencers. These are people who don't actually sell anything but I need to have a relationship management system as they open doors to opportunities. How do I categorise them within leads, contacts etc.
