I just started your 15-day trial and have run into a big issue that may stop us moving to Zoho. 

It seems your system only allows tasks due dates to be set AFTER the project start date when using your project templates.

We are an event based company and as with many event companies, we schedule many tasks based on the project end date. So we need to be able to set a project template task due date to start BEFORE the project end date (which would be the event date).

For example, a typical event company may do the following:
  • Send out event invitations 30 days BEFORE the event date (which would be the project end date)
  • Confirm details with the venue 3 days BEFORE the event date
  • Send email reminders 1 day BEFORE the event date
  • etc, etc, etc
Your Strict Projects allow us to set an event date so it gets us halfway there but you still have to schedule tasks based on After Start.

Is there any way to schedule tasks via Before End date with your present system? 

BTW, calculating the number of days from the project start date would not work for a project template because our events happen at different time (3 months in advance then maybe 3 weeks).

This is very important and likely a deal breaker for us and I would guess any company that hosts events on any regular basis.

If it can't be done with your present system as is, can something like this be built with Zoho Creator and integrated with Project to accomplish what we want?
