What does logic mean in a survey?


By applying various logic conditions, you can define how your respondents move through the questions in a survey. Based on their answers, you can route them to a different page or hide irrelevant questions altogether.
 
Tip for the week: Add logic and receive the most accurate survey data


Logic helps avoid redundancy by sparing your respondents from having to answer similar questions repeatedly. You can customize a local path within the survey for your respondents to move around and attempt questions that are only relevant to them. 

When surveys are lengthy, your respondents can lose interest and leave it unfinished. This could impact the accuracy of your survey response data. Applying logic  shortens the survey and works as a filter of sorts to help eliminate the respondents who do not fit your criteria. It saves a great deal of time and effort for your respondents as it lets them skip the questions that do not matter or aren't applicable to them.

Remember to test the logic repeatedly and make sure the branching works fine so your response data is no way compromised. This will make the survey less confusing to your respondents as they only see questions that relate to their previous answer.
