What would you rather do - navigate through a multitude of apps to learn about a customer or see the information right inside your chat window using a simple integration? We all know the answer to this! Navigation can lead to a lot of distractions and hence result in the loss of a lot of valuable time. To eliminate this and save time for both operators and website visitors alike, Zoho SalesIQ has a feature called Widgets.
Widgets bring the apps that you use for your business inside your live chat window. They integrate with your external apps to create a custom view inside the SalesIQ operator chat window. You can either pull data from any external application and display them in SalesIQ's chat window or push data from SalesIQ to any application with actionable elements.
A widget is a collection of something called sections and each of these sections has multiple elements and corresponding actions.
- Widget Section: Sections in Widgets can be used to display multiple data components from one application. You can add a maximum of 5 sections in a widget. These sections help organize all kinds of data, including tables, images, text, and more.
- Widget Elements: Elements are the lowest level of data inside a widget and they are unbreakable. Each entry in a section is an element. For example, login ID, Name, Gender, etc.
- Widget Actions: Actions are buttons that can be used to perform dynamic operations inside the widget
For example, you can pull subscription details - membership type and date of expiry, that concern the customer for support representatives in your accounts department instead of giving access to all of your representatives.
To add a Widget:
- Navigate to Settings > Developers > Widgets
- Give your Widget a name, choose the brand and the modules.
- Choose a platform to build your widget on - SalesIQ Scripts or Webhooks
- Finally, click Create Widget.
Also, join us for a live webinar on Widgets and Form Controllers on the 17th of August!. We'll see you there!
