Tip 37 - Timesheet Management
Managing the timesheets of all your users can be tedious if you have to go to the
Timesheet
module for each entry. Here are some easy ways to access the timesheet data and the module.
From Global View
Instead of going into each project to record the timesheet entries, you can just go to
Global view
and view the timesheet entries of multiple projects at one place. You can also approve them from here. Click
Global View
in the upper right corner. Go to
Log Hour
s, click a timesheet entry, go to the
Log Hours
section and approve the timesheet entry.
Timer for multiple work items
You can run multiple timers for multiple work items and control them from one place. Click
Global Timer
on top to check the current timers running for a particular user. If you'd like to start timers for other work items, click the magnifying glass icon, enter the name or the ID of the work item and click
Start
.
Export of Timesheet
You can access the timesheet entries offline by exporting them. Go to the
Timesheet
module, click the
icon and select
Export
. Set your preferences and click
Export
. You can also check the history of your exports by clicking
Export History
on the upper right corner.
